Rochanawyn Zuko is broke to ride and has been ridden mainly western with a snaffle and with Australian tack and a rope halter. We have taken him to trainers 3 times since he turned 4, then he didn't get ridden much in between. Typically, he does very well in training but after sitting for extended periods of time, he gets nervous when taken out of the round pen. Because of this, we would not consider him a good fit for a beginner. He is not a trail horse due to not being confident outside of an arena. His trainers say he is very athletic and willing to learn, so we decided he would do better in more experienced hands where he has a regular job in performance. He has extremely hard hooves and has never had shoes. He stands tied well to be tacked up, hooves picked out and for hoof trimming. Very calm and easy to handle for vet work. He loads, hauls and unloads well. Roc is easy to catch and will come when called. He is in great condition on a mineral supplement and a slow feed mixed grass round bale. He is low in the pecking order. He gets along great in a herd but is also calm when stalled. | ||||||||||||||||||
