Sadly, we are rehoming Joe, our beloved stallion, due to our health. He is great with mares, foals, and juveniles; he has only pasture bred. While Joe has lived his entire life on 24hr turnout, his meals were in box or straight stalls. * Joe is curious, friendly, cooperative, and loves to play in water. He eagerly exams new objects. Joe comes when greeted. He enjoys interacting and bonding with people from toddlers to elderly to disabled. He loves attention and does NOT require treats. * Joe either meets or waits to be approached in the field; stands quietly for anyone - including strangers - to be haltered; leads calmly away from mares. He always stands patiently at liberty for blanketing - on and off. He leads well onto the trailer and has spent years voluntarily loading/unloading both through the man door and the ramp; often napping in the trailer. * Joe has been backed at liberty in the field while grazing, napping, and puttering about. He'll easily train to saddle. He's confident and loves to explore; will make a great trail buddy. Joe has always received gentle playful training without requiring treats. * Joe is practically bombproof. He's good with chainsaws, large construction/farm equipment, 18-wheelers, and snowmobiles. * Joe takes dewormer with feed. He's good with vet and shots (not UTD). * Joe is comfortable being touched all over; needs refreshing on picking up his feet and needs trimming.
