Hershy's Jackson is a very pretty and passionate 4 year old gelding!!! He is a Percheron / Halflinger . He has ben on lots of trail rides and also has been out in a lot of heavy traffic. He rides nice English or Western and also drives single or double with another horse. Jackson has been used here on the farm to give buggy rides and horse back rides on a merry go round. He is that nice handy size to get on him without a mounting block but still stocky enough for any adult to ride him. He has been used to work in the fields mowing hay, plowing, cultivating the garden, and spreading manure. Jackson also spend some of his time in our petting area and is very friendly with people. He loves all the treats people give him while passing by. While trail riding Jackson doesn't mind stepping over logs and loves going through the water. He also doesn't mind making his own path through the brush. He has a nice slow canter and pick up his leads in both directions. He moves off leg presure very nicely. In the barn he is very gentle to be around and is kid friendly. Jackson picks up his feet and stands nice for the farrier. He also does great for a haircut and loves to get a bath. He gets along great with other animals in the pasture and will come up to the gate when you whistle at him in the morning. In the petting area he is used to being around all types of farm animals like goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, alpaca's, cows, and pigs. He is the type of horse that doesn't need to be used every day to stay broke. If you are looking for that perfect little size, Jackson might be the one.
