"Sadi" is a 14 year old Haflinger/Percheron mare that stands right about 15hh. Sadi is built like an absolute tank and takes up the leg on ANY rider! She makes my 6' husband look like he's riding a 16.2hh draft. This lady picks up all of her feet, stands tied, stands to be groomed, tacked/harnessed, loads and travels nicely. We bought her from a local guy a few months ago and we haven't done a ton with her other than throw the kids on her sometimes and we will take her out on a trail sometimes; she's always the same horse each time you get her up out of the field. She will neigh in a stall sometimes if she's in alone but that's the extent of it. She will casually walk away from the mounting block from time-to-time but normally stands well and that is her worst flaw. Sadi is turned out in a mixed heard and does great. She has foaled before and was a great mother. She takes to all of the youngsters that we have around here. She picks up all gaits easily and has very floaty gaits. This lady is a fantastic trail mount, she crosses streams, logs, hills, ravines, ditches, bridges, you name it! She is always dependable and straightforward.
